I know someone with Mille Fleur Leghorns. Why not mix them up for variety of color. The brown leghorns are really pretty too. You won't get the friendliness of the SFH, but you'll get a ton of eggs!
Yes, I have contacted two Mille Fleur Leghorn breeders in the Bay area. Apparently MFLs are quite docile for a Leghorn, which doesn't work for me as we free-range all day and there are many dogs, raccoons, and eagles in our neighborhood. One breeder said she had a flightier line, but she can only ship eggs, not started pullets, and I don't want to deal with any cockerels. She also said MFLs don't lay quite as well as most Leghorns, by the way.
