X's 2!! I just want to pick 'em all up and snuzzle them!

What a difference a few months make. Here is my post trying to figure out boy or girl..................scroll down to see now !!!!
I had 3 SFH's hatch on Easter and have just loved watching them grow and develop. I always thought they were all girls but now I'm wondering.

I would really appreciate any opinions....

And here is "Yellow" now......

Quite a boy !!!

Cute, cute cute! I love chickies.

KYTinpusher and I have an experiment going. She sent me eggs packed in metal cans and a Mylar wrap. I put them in groups in my incubator along with local eggs, same ones I have been hatching (yet more black barnyard mixes, lol). We will see if that makes a difference. I just set them, so hopefully I get to have some babies in 21 nights.

If this doesn't work, I'm ordering some. It would be cheaper that way, even at $19 plus shipping a chick! And knowing they develop almost to term and then die is so sad. I'm still not sure why my local eggs always hatch and my shipped eggs can't.

So sad...

Woke up this morning to find my little black chick passed away during the night. Poor little one just wasn't doing as well as the others. Failure to thrive. Now there are only three SFH chicks left. I hope I end up with at least one roo and one hen. So far the SFH and Breda chicks are right up there with the Basques, Legbar and Serama for natural friendliness and inquisitiveness --- even without treats in hand.

So sorry your little black one didn't make it. My little yellow one isn't quite as energetic as the other 3. I hope he gets over his funk.

So sorry for your loss! Have you given them Polyvisol? If not, you might want to give a little to the rest (a few drops in the water) for a precautionary boost. I almost lost my Frida to failure to thrive, but a combo of the vitamins and a little Pediasure turned her around. Wishing you the best on your other 3!!
