Wow nice! I just started SFH also only not growing at anywhere near the rate you are, i have 4 now. Keep up the good work.

I had to give one of my roos a sharp lesson the other day. I was carrying some buckets to the faucet to fill, and I had a funny feeling he was following me. I glanced behind me, and that bird was RUNNING at me. He saw me look and was deterred.

But I caught him a few minutes later, carried him around for a while, and when I put him down, I held him down to the ground until he stopped struggling.

I get he is probably frustrated, having no girls, spring is coming (it sure felt like it last week), the buckets might have looked threatening, and he is now 6 months old and is teenaged. But he worried me. He has been perfectly respectful since.

I saw someone local on CL has some adult hens that lay colored eggs, so I can pull crossbreed eggs, and I'm toying with the idea of getting some. My coops are full, and I worry about disease. But it might make him happier.

If he gets worse, I don't know what I will do with him. This breed is known for good behavior...don't want a bad one.
