Swedish Flower Hen Thread

So sorry for your loss BDM. You were a wonderful Mama to walk her across. It is so hard to do the right thing at the right time. Hugs and Prayers.

I would love to add on to your order! I am very close to Madison. I will PM you with my contact info. Your birds are beautiful, thanks so much!

Does any one have suggestions on training a lgd i have a 4 month old puppy 1/4 great p 1/4 anatolian shepard &1/2 lab ? Ive had one chicken eaten by my other dog i think my puppy got into the pen and coralled it out and the other dog ate it is the puppy a lost cause now or is there hope for training her

Hard to answer your question because labs were meant to carry birds. I competed some great retrievers. Telling them to leave birds alone would have gone against everything they were bred to do.

Dont give up on her yet. I have a 1 year old Vizsla (bird dog) who is great with my chickens. She likes to lounge in the coop and let them walk all around her. She chased them a bit when she was a pup but never caused any harm. Now she thinks they are part of her pack and chases away any racoons that come by.
