He's beautiful! I don't have any Gunnar sons that color - he has more red and less blue than most I've had. LOVE him! How is his comb? Any sprigs? His legs seem to be spread nicely - a good wide stance which might suggest he'll be nice and wide when he is bigger. He is nicely proportionate... looks like you got a good one there!

Well, I don't "think" any of them have sprigs, but even after looking at previous pics I'm still a little uncertain as to what a sprig is.
I'll get a pic of both boys combs later today.
Dweezil is slightly larger than the 4 pullets I have, but Vacker is huge... he's a lot bigger, and a lot more mature looking, than Dweezil.
But they are so different, that I'm excited to have 2 roos with totally different coloring.
Now... I just have to decide which pullets to put with which roos.
I figured as they got closer to laying I'd post pics of all 4 girls (wouldn't want to flood the thread with pics), and see what everyone thought about potential crosses.
Variety is what I'm going for (after correctness that is), so I'm thinking the lightest 2 hens with Vacker and the darkest 2 with Dweezil... at least to start with.

I need to go back and look and sprigs again... will take some comb pics today.

YES, we had 7 maremma puppies on Sunday evening - 6 boys and 1 girl.
Mom and babies are doing very well... Whenny is a great first time mom.

As to side sprigs, here is a close up. Do you see the small protrusions on the sides of the comb at the back?

I don't recall anything out of the ordinary, but now that I've seen a pic I will look more closely.
Vacker is a mille fleur, and as you can tell Dweezil is going to be very light.
Of the 4 pullets I have, Dharma is a mille fleur very similar to Vacker, but the other three (Serenity, Harmony, and Willow) are lighter but have more blue than Dweezil, just not the black. Willow is a runt... probably half the size of the others.

Only have one pic of puppies so far... rather hard to get pics yet.
And of course momma had them in the dirty place she could find... let it do an lgd... LOL
