I just caught up with two months' worth of posts. Whew! Look what I "hatched:" I had a little boy back in May. :) But on to the SFH! I hatched a batch in late March that included one pullet with mottled legs. Her coloring is also rather interesting. She is the blue one toward the left of this picture: As the yellow of her legs has gotten brighter, the blotches of darker scales are even more obvious. I plan to sell the other 6 pullets from that hatch as part of trios as I've got three young cockerels to go with them, but I want to keep her just to see how she finishes out. If you know of anyone in the Richmond area who might be interested, I have also got two older pullets (one blue mille fleur each with and without a crest) that were hatched in February.
lol that's exactly what I was going to do. post a pic of my LO and say look what I hatched! By the way I got 2 sweedish chicks. I will post pics latter.

LisaLouHoo, how old is your splash pullet? I have one that looks exactly like yours. It was hatched in early February, and I've been trying to figure out it he/she is a pullet or cockerel.

Are you talking about this pullet? Sorry, but I didn't know that she's a splash, lol. All four of my new ones look very similiar. She's about 3 mos old. Mid-April, I think. Can you post a picture of yours?

You know? For only getting 3 this hatch, you sure hit the jackpot on colors!
That light one is looking more and more like a snoleopard every day! And even if it's not... WOW! What a beautiful bird!
:celebrate

I thought the same thing when they hatched! The little chick that never made it out of the shell was such a neat steel gray color too! I think my egg supplier made sure I got a diverse pick!

I hatched 2 SFH chicks today and the other one pipped. One is a pretty grey color with a yellow belly. The other is dark looking with a yellow belly of course they still look wet. I'm so excited!!!
