Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I was told by the breeder that this "pullet"? is a Swedish Flower.... Not sure how old it is, but can anyone guess yay or nay? S/he doesn't look like the majority of the pictures, so I'm confused :idunno

sorry to say, unless she's already laying, your SHE looks like a HE. a pullet won't have that much comb unless she's laying already, and most of my adult hens don't have that much.

I was afraid she was a he. Looks like a roo to me also, and he play fights with my other roo all day along. lol :yiipchick

@puglady, yes he kind of does! Maybe I won't give up hope about him being a Swedish Flower just yet. Whatever he is though, I may keep him because he really is the sweetest out of the 3 youngsters I have right now.

color wise, he's a splash, so if you use him for breeding, you'll get nothing but splash or blues from him, depending what colors you breed to (blues from black and blue, splash from blues). if you wait until he matures, wait until he's got some distinct mottling to say yes/no for being a true sfh... Leigh's got an amazing splash boy. hope yours turns out like hers.

Mela - congratulations on a wonderful hatch and some great new colors to add to your collection!

Kenzie73 - here is the splash boy Ki4got mentioned (and thanks for the compliment on him, K!)
