Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Hey guys I'm new to the site but I love the flower hens I have one adult rooster and one adult hen and four chicks this is my roo

You are the second person to guess that, so sad he is a favorite of 34 chicks! :-( I cannot have roos and I cannot give him away to be eaten I have to find him a home!

All my babies look to be doing well! Yay!

There is one I must get a photo of. It came from GF. Red head, blue back. So pretty. I can't wait to see how that one looks as an adult.

We came home from an errand to a third chick, so we got 50%. I haven't pushed the hen off to see how the rest of the eggs look yet today because it upsets the babies who then run all over the coop looking for mom.

A local friend was sent some SFH chicks from GF due to a cancelled order for basically shipping, and she offered them to me. I picked them up yesterday too. So I now have 20 SFH. Surely a few of them are pullets, right? Feast or famine too...I went from none to a whole bunch! Yay!

I love how they are all different. And their funny little personalities.

I'll get good photos later.

They really do have silly personalities. I have a rooster that cracks us up all the time.

This girl I hatched from my eggs. DD named her Cheese.

And this boy hatched from BHep's eggs. DS named him Cracker.

Well cracker looks pretty identical to my rooster boy (RB) also from Beth. And I can see why she named her cheese!

Hi.

I looked through the first few pages to find out what color egg the Swedish Flower hens lay. There is a photo of the first one but I'm not sure if it's white or lightly tinted.

Would someone please post the color of their egg. Thank you!
