Been a while since I posted. I lost all but one of my spring babies. My beautiful roo, blue.

Today I picked up a young little hen, also a hatch from last spring. I look forward to some baby flowers in my future!

I am curious about the snow leopard genes, Millie and red genes in swedish flower hens? Anyone know the genes or an article about how to figure what you get if you breed any of the three to each other what you get?
I know that these beautiful birds are land race and want to keep the most genetic diversity without losing colors or flowering.

I have a young cockerel the same color as this amazing boy. What would you call it?

I have been told he’s a blue based snoleopard but I am not an expert myself.

How have you all felt about your boys attitudes? Do you find that they get aggressive at some age? My boys are super sweet and friendly without crowding me. They like to talk to me, but will leave me alone if I am not talking to them.

A lady who breed them near me told me just wait a couple of month and they will change.... I like my boys respectful of me and I am respectful of them.

I was attacked without warning by my old Lavendar Am roo that had never done anything before.

Also thoughts on which cockerel have better personality?

Hi - been a while since I have been on the boards as well. A question to everyone: where did your swedish flower hens come from?? We live in NV (near the CA border) and received chicks by mail a couple years ago. That breeder is no longer breeding. Wondering where everyone’s chicks or eggs came from. It would be awesome to find someone within driving distance with Swedish flower hens!

My babies came from Cree57i, she shipped me eggs and they are the best. Nice size and color, but my favorite part is how sweet and friendly they are. All were super strong and hearty.

I also purchased eggs from a lady near me, but not the quality of Cree’s. The back two pullets are so beautiful and ones from Cree. They aren’t currently into getting the pictures as they love to be right next you.

I had a roo from Swedish lines and he was a perfect gentleman.

I had 3 from German lines and they were devils. Terrible temperament. They had to be removed.
