Chicken Coach- I have some of your black javas in my bator right now. :)

Hey Quackerjack, i hope all your Javas hatch! It's been a great year hatching for me that's the reason i started selling eggs on ebay. I'm starting to get overrun with chicks but i try to raise a bunch and cull-cull-cull. It cost a lot to do that these days, but you end up with good birds.

I gotta tell ya, I've been singing you praises to my friends. The fertility was AMAZING! 100%! And I have only had ONE quitter. They are due Saturday!

Also I was able to get a couple Auburn Javas from a breeder here. They are gorgeous and about 4 weeks old or so. When I end up separating them I can put them all together right? I mean, is there anything "genetic" I should know? I would think they are technically the same bird just different coloring. (Sorry if that sounds kind stupid. LOL.)

i have a few of the SWF - and boy - the color on them are faboulous. i have creasted and non-created - once I figure out how to load a picture - i will post them here

About a month ago I sold a Lady some Easter Egger chicks I had hatched. She also wanted a couple hens for her roosters.
I sold her a "Big" Cornish hen I had and one of my Partridge Easter eggers. She calls back a few says later and wants to swap me one of her roosters for 3 more hens. She says the rooster is a Swedish Flower Hen. Never heard of that. I look it up with GOOGLE and Boy what a chicken. So now I have a Swedish Flower Hen rooster. I am guessing he is around 8 months old.
I search around and find Richard at Jordan Farms in Georgia about 185 miles North and West of me. I had to wait until my SS check came in and ordered a few (all I could afford). Well Tuesday about 1:06 the post Office calls and says to come get your chicks. I ended up with 5 chicks. A couple did not survive the trip. Richard has refunded the price of the lost chicks. He is great to deal with. I will be ordering more later.
I went out after dark last night and caught a Splash EE hen, a Blue/black EE hen, a Buff Orpington hen a barred rock and a white leghorn and slipped them into the tractor with the Roo. He should be pleased this morning<g>.

QuackJackFarms, Not sure about the silver chick... can you post a photo?

My 6 gals that I got in late Sept. are just about ready to start laying. I am excited to start hatching eggs!

Here's some pics of the new babies. I have 1 more fluffing up and 1 still kickin' off the shell.

Sorry they're not the best quality.. I'll get better ones in a few.

the silver one is very top right. Today it's looking more gray.
