Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I'm taking the plunge! I've got homes for about half my hens so I can have room for these bits of fluffy eye candy. I'm going to order 12 hatching eggs.
Any recommendations for sellers?
I have someone else in the state to trade birds with so I don't want to get mine from the same nice lady in Texas.

That's a really good question. I haven't sold any eggs. I don't know how much they should be. Anybody???

I have given several roos away to good homes. I think most folks are trying to sell pairs to move them. I currently have a very nice roo on CL for $20 and have had no interest. If I can find him
a good home then I'll give him to it.

I give my extra good natured roosters away, too, to good homes.

I have mine listed on CL and have not gotten any interested persons, either.

Time to give them to friends or good homes who will appreciate them. an interest.

If anyone on here wants mine, they are free. I've got them listed on Craigslist for 5-10 dollars because I think they are too pretty to eat but I think the only way someone will want them as breeding stock right now is if they are wanting to breed them to ameraucanas for interesting Easter eggers or if someone actually does have a small flock and doesn't have a color that they wanted.

I've a question on color genetics-is the white dominate or recessive? I only want a small percentage of white chicks so am wondering whether to cut down to one white one or a pair.

I have finally joined the Swedish Flower hen family! I have 3 chicks and now incubating over 2 dozen (hopefully they do great). Very excited! Thanks Contrastphoto for the eggs!
