That's very interesting. I've looked through lots of pictures of SFH chicks and haven't seen one like this. It's going to be fun watching this one grow out!

Are his legs green? Its sort of looks like it in the picture. Really interesting markings though!

Legs are very dark. They look brown. Will that be green as he gets older? Is that good or bad?

Hello, Are these the eggs I sent you? How exciting! I know you have had a rough few weeks with the fires, you need a good hatch!

As far as the dark legs, I know most SFH's do have yellow legs, but there is no "standard" since they are a landrace breed, just what is normal. I think there are a few other that have had darker legs, but you just have to wonder if they "pure." There are all kinds of genes that could pop up with this breed though.
I have a chick with a similar color pattern but not the same. I will get a picture of it for you to see.

it needs to be done as early as possible or the feathers will be the same on both sexes.

Pip Pip Hooray! sorry, couldn't help it. That leopard pattern is so cute. Who know how heor shee will feather out. Keep taking pictures of Bear. THey grow so fast. My SFH have legs that are very creamy yellow, pale. Netx to the BO thay look almost white. I guess legs may vary as well? How do we find this out? Maybe I'll email Greenfire.
