i agree. Different breeds mature at different rates in the comb area, this goes for individuals to but if you say cockerels take on the red comb first, I’m going to keep leaning that way. Like I said there’s a very slim chance it’s a pullet but I’m going by the clues we have now to say it’s a cockerel. A few weeks more and we can tell by saddle feathers for sure.Cockerel (we had 14 this year). Swedes show their comb and wattles VERY early. The pullets keep their dainty little baby combs much longer.
