Sweet PDZ and DE to mix with sand in run to keep dust and odor down?

DE= Diatomaceous Earth

In a nutshell, Diatomaceous Earth consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of hard-shelled algae.
Food grade is used in feed and sprinkled in coops to combat parasites such as mites and worms (internal) and to keep litter dry.

PDZ is a product used to deodorize and absorb moisture in livestock housing (stalls and coops).

I use a combo of both in my coop and have considered adding it to the run to combat odors, but I think I'll wait until the weather is warmer. Right now, the cold temperatures are keeping odors at bay.

Where do you buy DE, I asked at our local Atwoods store and they looked at me like I had two heads. I then tried Lowes and they had pool grade but not food grade, I know pool grade is a no-no.

Thanks,
Cathie

Do you have TSC (Tractor Supply Co) in your area? They carry it here. Also, a garden shop would have it in the "organics" dept. It is used for insect control.
