Sweetest little puppy on earth now has a badly broken leg

Thank you, and aren't those fuzzy ears just the cutest? She's cuter in person than in pics!LOL Every time the cast is changed she just holds out her leg for them to do it and gives kisses the whole time.

Thanks for asking...all good news...she got her cast removed today!

She still has to be crated for 3-4 more weeks, with physical therapy several times a day (just simple, gentle, stretching and bending the leg by hand). Her skin infection is so much better (just pink now, no gunk) so she's been taken off of the antibiotics. Her pad/toes has yeast but they said that's normal after being treated and nothing to worry about. The partner vet that examined her today said she was surprised that such bad breaks in a little puppy had actually healed so quickly. (She was of the opinion of the first ER vets, that it would take months and months to heal.) Her little leg has wasted away to basically just bone and skin so of course she can't put any weight on it, but in a few weeks she'll be able to use it again to run and play like a puppy should. YAY! And thanks so much again!

I can't imagine what that would be like, my puppy would absolutely HATE being cooped up that long. It sounds like you got a real diamond in the RUFF there! Have fun with her!
