Swelling around eye

Recently one of my hens started moulting and lost feathers around her head and face , shortly after I noticed one eye had swelling around it, no idea what has caused it and no other hens are showing signs of swelling
Any ideas ?

I'm wondering if she may have scratched it? There is some eye ointment you can buy at the farm store. I do forget the name but someone at the store could help. It comes in a little tube.

Sorry to hear your having problems with your hen. Could you describe in a bit more detail what the swelling is like? Is it weeping? Is it showing any signs of scabs on it? Any signs of an injury? Is there anything stuck in her eye or the lids? Pics are always usefull for actually showing what it is like. With more detail members should be able to help you more with your hen
