Hi All,
I have a chicken who’s right eye is injured. She appeared fine yesterday, but today I noticed that it looked like one of her eyes were missing. Upon further inspection, it appears that she has a huge swelling taking over her eye socket. There is a white/grey mass taking up most of the socket, but I can see the color of her iris behind it (the eyeball appears like is it clear and still moving behind the mass). The entire right side of her head is also swollen. Pictures attached.
I have antibiotic salve (Neosporin) and Amtyl (antibiotic). Should I apply the salve to her eye and give the antibiotics? Other ideas? What could this be?
