Swine flu pandemic - fact or fiction?

"After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of it’s victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believe to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”

It seems that ever since 9/11 there has been that steady stream of news that runs on the bottom of the screen... then new news chanels appeared like HLN that's just gossip central about celebrities and tragic news.

The real problem is the public. We cannot get enough of it. We spread the gossip just like rumors in high school. It's ashame society has taken this turn. Im getting real close to "shutting down" this summer. That means no cable bill

I don't think hubby will go for it. And I don't know if we can survive snack time without spongebob squarepants and diego

Offtopic: My SIL called me in a panic a few days ago because there has been an "outbreak" of measles in her community (250 mi. from mine) She knew my son wasn't vaccinated and was adoment I went to the Dr. right away!!! I tried to calm her down with we don't travel much, he's not in school yet (we plan to selectively vaccinate in the future when he'd be more exposed but we feel the drug companies are making bank right now developing vaccinations for all of the "epidemics" and their income is more important than long-term research because there aren't enough studies to prove to me that all these chemicals are safe for a developing brain and immune system)

I guess the news is so global now that it makes this world such a small place. I live in rural WV and am not concerned with a lot of the news in the city. It just doesn't apply

and Im very happy about that.

(still off topic, sorry) I could not agree more with that! I do not have kids, but minimally vaccinate my dogs. I also wait until the VERY last legal minute to give rabies. While with some things the benefits outweigh the risks, I think it is all poison and hard on the immune system, especially for the young. The less and the later the better!

To much worry makes life not so fun.... I say just live well until you die.

I started to just post the article and link but decided SOMEBODY would believe it and really freak out. I loved it! Someone out there has a good funny bone and a gift at mimicing the BBC site.

Anyway...Morning guys!

Was just at my own doctor this a.m. for normal testing stuff. Remarked on how empty her parking lot was, asked if they'd been getting any flu cases. She said nope, that there was no big flu problem here. She told me the media has blown it all out of proportion, even medical websites are being stupid about it. Yep, just what I figured. One of the best doctors I've ever been to, this woman.

BTW, she loves my Chilling with my Peeps magnetic bumper sticker. She laughed and said she knew whose car that was, LOL!
