Omg, diverticulitis. I knew a guy that had to go to the hospital for puking and diarrhea, and it was the day after Thanksgiving. They told us point blank that it was food poisoning. The wife held her ground, and made them do more tests. Yup, diverticulitis. Had to have surgery!

At this point, being near hospitals or any place sick people go, is a Bad Idea.

Interestingly, I just read an article stating that Asia is greeting passengers re entering the country with disinfectants in an effort to slow the spread.

But, I guess it's ok for us to keep the borders open.

It is in 10 states now, over 100 cases...

It is also in at least 4 provinces in Canada...

Hopefully this isnt just wave #1......(1918 flu came in 3 waves, wave #1 was mild, wave #2 was the deadly one)....

There have also been ALOT of postings from people in mexico saying that things are WORSE than there Gov't is admitting too...(can't lose those tourist dollars ya know)

What is worse is it seems to kill those people with healthy strong immune systems (25-45yr olds), essentially causing their immune system to go into overdrive....

Just found out that the first case confirmed in AZ was an 8 year old boy. He is fine and back to his normal routine. They have closed the school he attended. This boy was actually sick before this flu became an issue. Apparently, the state sent samples taken from possible flu cases occuring before the outbreak on to the CDC who then confirmed this case.

I agree.

Yes, it could easily be a planted flu strain for drug companies and others to make money off, or it could just be a new strain not covered in the vaccine that the media is hyping up. I really am not worried about the flu itself being worse than any other strain. I'd give more concern to the resulting hype that some are trying to make of it and why.

I also read the Mercola article (see post above) and found it insightful.

I think I'll go chill out with my peeps.

Just got back from vitamin cottage. Got my d3 drops. I also bought some greek yogurt. I figured that couldn't hurt to have on hand either.

So I hear a little 23 month child died in the US from the swine flu....but here's the kicker he was a Mexican, who had just been in Mexico. I hate it when they scare ppl like that, he's not even an American. We were planning a trip to mexico over memorial weekend.......not anymore, i'm staying home!
