Not likely. Cut out all treats util they start eating the new feed.


Do they have the feed available every hour they are awake?
If not, they should.

Is the new feed a different shape, i.e. pellets vs crumbles?

Yes feed is available every hour they are awake. I take it up when they go up to roost for the night to deter the rats from coming from the woods ugh but I put it back out first thing in the morning (if not theyl carry on quite loudly until I do haha). And I always put out fresh food in the morning, I don't put the same food from the night before that sat all night.

Old and new food are pellets but the new stuff might be slightly bigger and not as soft

Why? Dry pellets are not going to 'go bad' overnight.

Why?

Dry feed is intended to stay fresh and good over a reasonable amount of time. If it's not gotten wet then it's the same as if it was still in the bag.
