Switching Nest Boxes?

My question is about switching nest boxes. Our pullets are 19 weeks old this weekend and we have to get the next boxes in their house. The problem is the house has been temporarily divided due to new chicks. This should remain another 4-6 weeks. We do not have room for the large nest box we intend to mount on the wall. Hubby made some individual boxes. Can we start with the single boxes and switch to the full size box later or will that confuse or disturb the hens? I know they are creatures of habit and don't want to upset them. Thanks for any help.

I would think they would be able to make the adjustment. I had a similar situation and they didn't seem to mind being switched. We ensured the would be the same height and in a similiar place in the coop. I didn't switch the boxes until they learned to lay in the boxes that were available.

Lots of more experienced folks will weigh in on this I am sure.
