much better. I got them antibiotics also.

Give time for the antibiotic to work in your birds. Hopefully you'll see improvement within 5-7 days if there isnt any resistance.

the chick is doing great. his ear is still scabby but not like before. it seems better. tomorrow is the 3rd day of antibiotics. should I continue or stop at 3 days? they all seem well. they eat and drink and they come when I call them for food....

Continue....probably for at least a week.

I had recommended Azithromycin which is given 7-10 days. OP chose an antibiotic that I wouldnt recommend due to side effects and easy to OD. It mightve been all that was available though.

How long did the vet who gave the chloramphenicol say to use it? I would give it for how long they prescribed it. Glad to hear there is some improvement.
