Swollen bug bite near the eye

I just noticed that my exhibition hen has a puffy eye that looks to be caused by a bug bite. She’s been itching it a bit and there was some watery/bubbly discharge coming from the eye. She is able to open her eye. We have also had some hot weather recently, not sure if that’s helpful info or not. She is my show bird and her showing is in roughly 2 weeks. What can I do to help her? I’m also new to this site and I’m not sure how these threads work yet- I just made my account.

Has she been to other shows recently? I would flush her eye with saline eye was, and apply Terramycin eye ointment twice daily. Her symptoms could be a sign of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) a chronic respiratory disease as well.

She hasn’t since we couldn’t show last year. I did take MG into consideration which is partially why I got so panicked. Thank you for the insight

Can you take pictures in better lighting?

I can’t right now because it’s dark out. I can take some better pictures in the morning though.
