Swollen cheek, bleeding through nostrils.

Great news!

Guess who was standing up, waiting for me when I arrived? :)

Pickles is continuing to improve. Eating more, drinking more with better motor control of his beak. Less swelling, his eye is less shut as a result. And he’s much more calm than the other two who run around like their bills are in fire whenever I get within 2 ft of their pen.

And he’s discovered that he likes apple sauce (mixed with a probiotic powder).

Continued thanks for your help, guidance and support. Here is a pic of our fenced-in raised garden beds with the duck run to be outside of it (sharing a wall/fence). The 3 posts at the left side corner.

Update: Pickles is nearly back to full capacity. We decided to reunite him with his siblings a couple nights ago. As a treat, we let them get in the bathtub for the first time. Needless to say, they all loved it! Here is a pic from the tub and one from yesterday morning (Pickles is in the foreground and what remains of his swollen right cheek). It’s still puffy in the section between his eye and Bill, but it’s very soft/squishy now, unlike before when it was hard/firm. Continuing to keep an eye on him but I think it’s probably safe to say he’s gonna survive. :)

again, thanks for your guidance and support.

I am curious. Pickles has a bit of a snort/hack going on. Occasionally his breathing is a little “wet” sounding. Any thoughts? I’ll continue to monitor it but not sure how concerned I should be. Otherwise, he seems normal and happy with his two siblings.

He’s on meds right? If you can get a video here that would help. Put it on Vimeo or you tube.
He’s no longer on meds (we gave him 3 doses of amoxicillin about 12 hours apart until he seemed well on his way to recovery). It was never official or prescribed, just suggested by the vet over the phone. I can try getting some video but it’s not consistent so it’s difficult.
