Swollen Cheek

It could be a sting bite, or an infection of the area due to debris entering either through the eye, or a puncture through the skin. If the area feels soft, I may try to lance it with a sharp sterilized needle, and drain the puss, apply an antibacterial ointment or cream and see if that does the trick. Or leave the area, and see if it goes away on its own. Sometimes they need antibiotics for these sorts of things if it doesn't resolve on its own.
I’m bringing him to the vet first thing in the morning. Thank you.

Thank you so much. He’s a khaki Campbell. We suspect he had a difficult hatch, so much smaller than our other ducks were when we got them. And he looked wet for over a week. He grew so much slower than them. Then in July he survived a fisher attack. We didn’t think he was going to make it. He’s a fighter. I’m hoping it’s something as simple as a bug bite. But I will update you all tomorrow. Thank you for all your advice! I love this forum.

Sooo cute!
My brothers have a khaki and they love her!

I took him to the vet yesterday and she didn’t do anything. Said we should watch it for a week to see if it goes down on its own. Possible salvia or tear duct leak. But now less than 24 hours later he is much worse. I’ve been trying to get ahold of the vet to bring him back in. The swelling has doubled in size and he’s wheezing.
