I noticed my duck was limping and sitting down a lot 2 days ago. I took her to the vet yesterday and the vet discovered a swelling on her left foot. There was no scar, so she said it wasn't bumblefoot and she took x-rays, and didn't see any infection in the joint or the bone. Has anyone out there experienced this. The vet recommended that I keep her to a confined area, which she's been in today and Nsaids. Has anyone seen something like this on their ducks?

She's eating and drinking fine, laying eggs and seems to be walking, although with an almost undetectable limp. I don't see that she's sitting a whole lot either. I see her standing a lot.

If anyone can offer any insight, I'd be grateful. I've taken a photo. Please excuse the bad photo. The model wouldn't stay still!

I did! Sorry

I did so last night, for 3 minutes. I wrapped her in a towel, held her tight and sang to her while my husband kept her foot in the water. I also put turmeric in her drinking water, along with ACV, but who knows how much she got inside of her. She's still eating, drinking and laying fine, but she and her sister are really sick of being in that pen all day. (I only have 2 ducks left, so one has to accompany the other.) Does anyone know of any duck games so they don't die of boredom?

Ha! Ha! I know that they gravitate to puddles of water like bees to honey. Problem is that her in CA it's so dry that the puddle lasts for 5 minutes.

I've been bringing them trays of dirt with red wrigglers and bugs buried inside. That lasts for a bit, but then they want more again.

It seems bumble foot is the case. Don’t worry it is not fatal and can Be treated. First of all make sure she is in a very clean inviorment and her cage is cleaned regularly. But she should be fine.❤️❤️
