I was given this 3mth old silkie due to an “eye deformity” and the breeder wasn’t keeping to breed.
In the pic I could see one eye bulged and the other had yellowish stuff in it.
I took the silkie and have been cleaning the eyes daily for a week with a warm green tea soak, wiping away any goo that comes out, putting vetericyn eye gel on it and applying terramycin.
Daily there is goo build up. It does feel hard on the top lid of one eye and bottom lid of the other eye.
No smell, no sneezing, no wheezing or discharge anywhere else.
I also started TiaGard 12.5% yesterday.
Any recommendations? We don’t have vets that treat chickens and I’m TERRIFIED of pushing on the lids and popping her eye out
