My chicken were out with the rest of them and recently ended up with this swollen eye and I don't know how can anyone help me I'm cleaning the eye and doesn't seem to be getting any better any ideas I don't want to kill the chicken

Go to your local feed store get some oxytetracycline antibiotic ointment and some oxytetracycline powder broad spectrum antibiotic that you put in their water do not use neosporin it is harmful for their eyes it is not ment for the eyes if that doesn't work take it to your local vet

Anyone know were I could get Tylan from in the uk ? Thankyou in advance she now has little bubbles coming out her eye

Go to your local feed store and get Terramycine soluble powder for chickens it is a broad spectrum antibiotic tylan is not legal in the UK I hade the same problem and this stuff works oxytetracycline is also the same thing you can also get the same antibiotics in an eye ointment but make sure you get the soluble powder and put it in the water give it to them for 10 days 2 tablespoons per gallon when you're done with that you will need to give them powder probiotics for 10 days

Do you have a livestock store in your town and where do you live maybe I can look it up for you

Tylosin or Tylan, oxytetracycline, or erythromycin, all antibiotics for treatment of a respiratory disease such as MG or coryza, would come from a local vet in the UK. Do you notice a bad odor from the face? Separate this chickens from your others since respiratory diseases are very contagious, and can make carriers of a flock. Secondary infections such as E.coli and others can complicate a swollen sinus around the eye. Your vet could prescribe both eye drops/ointment and antibiotics given orally or by an injection. Clean the eye with normal saline, and try to clean out the purulent drainage (pus.) Tweezers, QTips, or manicure instruments may be necssary. Here are some links to read:
