So the swelling has gone down on its own with no treatment. I feel badly that I didn't treat her, but it was one thing after another and I just kept forgetting. But it did go away all by itself, which leads me to fully believe that she just had an infection/allergic reaction from the pine shavings in her eye. Our awesome vet returned my phone call and said that terramycin based ophthalmic ointment and eye flushes would do the trick, treated twice daily. So if your bird ever gets and infection of the eye... there's your answer. Thanks for the tips everyone! I've put them in the ol' memory bank for future reference.
