Use the Denagard up until the vets appointment.

I agree, if the Denagard helped, I would continue with that until your vet can run a culture.

It does look like she may still have some pus around the eye, hard to tell, so I'd continue with daily cleaning and application of ointment. Warm compresses may help loosen up any pus and make it easier to remove.

I was not able to remove the blockage. The swelling completely closed her eye and she seemed miserable, so sadly, this hen was humanely euthanized. I could not afford the $600 vet surgery estimate.

I'm very sorry to hear that. You tried the best you could and that is what matters. I have 5 hens and lost one last August very quickly before I could even discern a plan of action. I've been dealing with a terrible cyst or granuloma on my old quaker parrot's under eye and was looking over posts about people trying to remove them.
