The goop is antibiotic. She's acting fine. This actually started looking better for a few days, but now is even more swollen. Vet isn't available until Thursday or Friday. Any ideas as to what this is? No sign of injury.

Have you checked for something caught in the eyelid to rule out injury? I don't think it's a sinus infection since the Antibiotic Ointment isn't helping, could also be some viral disease going on too.

I haven't manipulated the eyelid that much, but when it was less swollen, I didn't see anything. No sign of injury at all. Vet said it might be a salt gland and need lancing?

Salt, gland? Don't they mean tear duct? Never heard of a salt gland on a chicken.

No injury is good. But still can't rule out Disease yet.

Are you applying the Triple Antibiotic Ointment to the eyeball itself, or on the eye lids? Had to ask, forgot to ask at the beginning.
