Swollen eye

Pics
I thought I would update this thread for anyone who may come upon it. She has been doing GREAT! We have her sectioned away from the flock. She is super friendly and loves to climb trees. Yesterday, I thought she died, but she was okay. Anyhow, she can eat and drink with ease and her eye is not swollen anymore. She is blind, but she is still a great girl! Definitely a special girl! ❤️

She gets free passes in the house sometimes, but she did move out so she could get sun. My sister and I take turns making her feel special 🥰.

I took her on a tree the other day. When I came back from dumping a wheelbarrow of wood chips in the coop, she was at the TOP! She definitely forgot how to be a chicken and spends more time with us 🤣. I hope that she could go broody and raise her own chicks, so she is not as lonely! But we are a long way from there.

Her joints were a little weak (from being a couch potato for month), but she is now better. Her blind eye looks gray now. I still apply neosporin sometimes, to keep it moist.

Last update. Puffle has grown to be a beautiful young lady. She is approaching her first birthday soon, and has also started laying olive colored eggs. I am so glad I didn’t decide to cull her! She does extremely well with the others. If you didn’t see her left eye, you would think she was perfectly normal! I am so glad her story ended well! 💕
