Swollen eyes

For some reason my silkies eyes have swollen nearly shut. Don't know if a bug bit her or what. What can I do for her?

Try the Vetericyn Plus eye wash and eye gel. You'll need to do it a few times a day. I've also found Neosporin around the eye helps too. Just make sure it doesn't have pain reliever in it as that could hurt the bird.

I would also check her over for ticks. We've been battling swollen eyes due to tick bites. They usually bite on the eyelid or near the ear. Some of them are SO tiny and so easy to miss.

I have this that I apparently used a previous time for one of my chickens eye but of course I can't remember what it treats for. Can you use normal human saline to rinse their eyes out?
