my chickens feet look just like the pic you posted in this thread.... did you ever figure it out? The chicken is the favorite of my kids and I hate to lose it or see her suffer.

The swollen ankles in this older thread look to me like mycoplasma synovitis or MS, a bacterial joint infection. Gout usually makes the whole foot appear large and with a lumpy appearance. Here is the picture from post 1:
