My girls have always been prone to bumble foot, therefore I have treated them quite a few times.
However; about 2-3 weeks ago, one of my hen’s feet were swollen. I soaked her feet in epsom salt 2xs a day for a week or so. No improvement.
One of my others hens has a slightly swollen foot too…I also treated her for bumblefoot.
I then treated her bumble foot…It’s been 3 days and her feet have not gone down, but the bumblefoot looks better?
During my bumblefoot treatment, for my hens I notice that they get bandage burn (a red rash that makes their feet sore), even though I don’t wrap their feet tightly, after 3 days of wearing bandages. So, to allow their feet to heal, I always take the bandages off.
What should I do? Is this gout, or just a result of bump foot?!
How can I help her?!!
This hen still lays eggs and such also.
