A week old Broadrock chick has had a swollen foot at the base from where the leg comes down and the toes go out. From the whiter color of the legs I believe it is a rooster. The other chicks are not pecking at it like it is sick, but I have separated it from the others. It looks like there is a small amount of light colored blood inside the swollen area. It hasn't fallen from any height. I am giving it vit & minerals in it's water...is this all I can do or is it old enough for antibiotics?
