SWOLLEN just under the eye

i'm wondering if their is puss inside and it needs to be cut open...
if she is in pain, i would maybe think about putting her down for her own sake.
Chickens don't like to show pain because that shows the other chickens weakness which makes it easier for them to get picked on.

If you can, i would advise separating her from the other chickens.
You don't want them to pick at it, and if its a viral or bacterial infection, you don't want the others to get it..

I will try and look up what could be wrong with her

Might be an infection in the sinus cavity.

thank u so much for all the help im going to see if maybe i can get a big enough need to suck the stuff out dont want to have to cut her i do keep her in with me at night and during the day i let her go out and play with the others with me watching so she can get some fresh air and sun

well we change our minds we r going to try and take her to a vet even if we have to drive fare and sell stuff to afford the vet bill love her to much to lose her to this thing

I wasn't expecting anything that bad either. I hope the vet can do something simple and inexpensive to help her. Poor baby.

just got back from the vet he cut it a lil and drained a lil bit but couldnt get no more so he gave use some stronger antibotic and sent us on ower way ... kind of wish he opened it all way and got it all out but oh well we'll see how the meds do for her but only cost $40 which not as bad as i thought it would be

wish us luck and i'll keep updates on it and let u guys now how the meds work
