Ive notoced lt.dan is pretty lazy and wings/tail droopy and his neck pale the past week, and today i found the knee of his good leg is pretty swollen. Still flexible but very swollen. Maybe he landed wrong jumping off the couch.
I started him on vitamins, but what else can i do? Cold compress? warm compress? Ibuprofin?
Are sprains something that chickens come back from quickly? How can i tell a sprain from a fracture or something else?
Hes been inside three months and still has scabs from losing toes and his bedsore, the ankle on his bad leg is fused, now this.
I hate to say, but if its something that is going to take another three months to heal or leave his good leg crippled, im going to put him down instead of letting him suffer because if i put him outside the rest of the flock will get him for sure.
