Look like a sore place on the back of the hock. What type of bedding do you use? Could it be ammonia burns. Having 20 ducklings in crowded space has to make a lot of poop for them to lay in.

Infection in legs with one so young isn’t good. How many do you have like this?

Sick duckling will not eat or drink.

The sick one is the runt. She is half the size of the rest, has been so since day one. Maybe she was destined to be sick?

Regardless it is clear that we have not been taking care of these ducks properly. My wife just bathed every duck two at a time and the feathers are fluffed and they seem happier. we have now split them into two different about 16 ft.² each, so that’s about a foot and a half per duckling.

they aren’t eating tomatoes or any treats so I’ll find away to get them the vitamin b complex. will also up the brewers yeast ratio.

they have been able to splash about and make a mess with water, so the combination of being wet, over crowded, and rolling in their poop is clear a recipe for problems.

I don’t think the sick one is going to make it. She’s really struggling. Drueling and eyes barley open. Very sad. Hope all the tps and actions we take prevent further loss.

The little duckling passed away. The other one is getting worse. I guess we did not catch it early enough. The other ducklings look much better, but I think some of them may have the bumblefoot as well. What should I do about the rest? 20 in total.

Sorry for your loss!

I would continue administering B complex to the others as well as providing plenty of space for them to roam, bedding should be cleaned often to keep it dry and clean. Can you post a few pictures of the bottom of their feet?

I'm very sorry for your loss. If they are in a brooder with soft bedding I don't know how they could have bumble foot. But please post some good pics.

Any other ideas for administering the vitamin b? I tried orally but I can get them to settle and can’t seem to get the syringe in a safe place and they are skeptical of the tomatoes!
