Barred Rock Hen is ~2 years old. Otherwise a very healthy chicken. Swelling is firm, she is able to walk but favors her good foot. Pad looks clean and does not appear to be bumblefoot. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Could be a break or similar injury. Otherwise chickens can get gout, but it's usually roosters. What are you feeding?

Upon further inspection it looked like there may have been an old puncture wound (no black scab). I tried cutting into it but it definitely wasnt bumblefoot and ended up processing her. Upon further inspection i do suspect articular gout as cutting deep into the swelling caused yellow fluid to leak out which is typical with gout. Not super worried as she is one of 47 chickens and the only one with a foot like this. Thanks for the input!
