I went out to let my chickies out this morning and one of them did not run out of the coop. I picked her up to see what the problem may be. She's usually very friendly, so the fact that she didn't flap her wings around didn't seem weird to me. She only just hatched January 11 this year. She is a crested cream legbar and it seems early for her to be laying, as she's still small and not even 3 months old.
Her vent is clear but just below it is a squooshy bag of something about thesize of a golf ball. It doesn't seem to hurt her other than she isn't interested in walking around a whole lot. Though I don't know how a chicken would tell me if it hurts. It looks like she's bald there, but I think it's because the skin is stretched out
Any thoughts on what it may be and how I can help her?
