The Sky Is Calling ​

Welcome to Cetan.
In a land where its people have been cut off from ours for centuries, magic and mythical beasts live on. Hidden by a deadly mountain range that surrounds it, the people who live in it have managed to tame the last of a fantastic species: The griffin. Half beast, half raptor, and all awe-inspiring. Wild griffins still roam in the most remote edges of the forest, perhaps a newcomer to the land like you could train one to be your own?

You're a lone griffin. Maybe you are cold and hungry. Maybe the only thing you hunger for is power. Will you seek out others, or carve your legend on your own? In a land still obscured from a world where the wild has been suppressed, how many adventures await a creature like you in the magic of the untamed wild.

Rules:

• No cursing.
• Keep fight scenes to a low PG-13 at most.
• You cannot kill, cripple, or control another person's character without their permission.
• No invincible/impossibly strong characters.
• All technology or weapons in the RP cannot be more than what would exist in the Middle Ages (Medieval Period). Nothing like guns, cell phones, or i-pads
• One blow per post in fight scenes. The OTHER person gets to decide the injury their character takes.
• Your character can only dodge 1 out of every 4 posts in a fight scene. All the other times the injury taken must be at LEAST as bad as a paper-cut.
• Be realistic.
• NO other magical creatures than griffins.
• NO magic or powers. (Besides griffins existing.)
• You can have a wild griffin. Just remember people can try to tame them.

• Each human character can only own three griffins at most. You can make as many humans and wild griffins as you want.
• Griffins can have the hindquarters of any big cat and the front of any Falconiform (ANY bird of prey BUT owls.)
• Griffins can be any color (blue, reddish, orange) as long as its not something ridiculous like hot pink (yes, normal pink is okay) or neon yellow.
• Humans CAN'T talk to griffins. Griffins can, however, talk to other griffins.

Breeds of Griffins:

• (I DON'T own this; it is based off a game. All credit is to the creator in the link above. If you can't find pictures feel free to ask me, and I will look for some.)
• Tiger aka Tigris

Having tiger-like stripes and living in forests. Prone to orange or gold coats with black stripes and blue eyes.

• Leopard aka Pardus

Having leopard-like spots and living in many diverse habitats. Prone to black spots on white, gray, or tan coats and gold eyes.

• Dusky aka Agelaius

Having a patch of color on the shoulder or under the wing and living in the dense lower levels of jungles. Prone to red and black coats.

• Solid aka Puma

Having either a solid colored or black-patched coat and prefering to live in grasslands yet still found in many different habitats. Prone to tan or gray coats and green eyes.

• Sunny aka Solstitialis

Having a shimmering, rainbow colored head and wing tips usually on a gold or cream colored body, and living in the higher, less dense levels of jungles. The only omnivorous griffin, subsisting largely on tropical fruits.

• Snowflake aka Nivicolous

Having a white dusted pattern as though covered in snow, usually over a gray or black coat, and living in the high altitudes of mountains.

• Bandit aka Callidus

Having a black masked pattern and white feet, usually over a silver or cream colored coat, and thriving in deserts or arid grasslands.

• Mixed: A mixture of as many of these as you want.

The Flock:

• The Flock is the local group of griffins. Your griffin can also be a tame mount/pet, loner, or start his/her own flock. All joiners of The Flock MUST be wild.

History: She got her first griffin, Andromeda, when she was 15. It was a gift from her parents who trained it. When a mother griffin dies from disease she took one of its eggs and hatched Peridot.
Picture or description: She has short, dark brown hair cut above the shoulders. Her eyes are bluish green. She is a little short for her age but not noticeably unless you compare her to a tall person.
