T-Bone is our new rooster but i need some help figuring out just what he is. I bought him at
Tractor Supply this spring when he was just two days old. For a while he looked normal just like all the others that were with him but about 2 weeks of age when you glanced at all of the chicks he stood out with crazy HUGE legs and feet so I immediatly claimed him as our mascot. Tractor Supply told us all they knew was that they were an assortment of brown egg layers AND that they were all PULLETS
, So i guess it was kinda fate i ended up with him because I get attatched in a heartbeat so i was able to change his destiny, We had already agreed that all the roosters that we ended up with in our straigt runs would be going in the freezer. As you can see in the photos he towers above all the other chick. The pic with the white hen beside him is his sister that came with him, as you can see he is twice her size. For a while we thought he was a cornigh rock but I read up on those and he dont fit the decription he IS very active, he runs, forages and gets on the roost at night, he acts just like a normal chick. He is about 5 weeks old in the pics. So any ideas?
Thanks, Nancy
