Yes.I isolated my affected hen that has her wing feathers stripped down to only the shaft. She is perching on my lap as I type this, but is her mite/lice problem transferable to me?
I thought human blood has too much fat and animal parasites are not interested in that. There blood suckers. I wouldn't keep her in your house, you'll have mites in your home also.
If your chicken has a slight bare spot with broken feathers. That would be from your other chickens bullying her and ripping her feathers with there beaks. If I dont see any mites or lice on my hen, what else could be causing the feather less shaft problem I see in her wing feathers?
Not true.I thought human blood has too much fat and animal parasites are not interested in that.
Hi, some time has gone by, I hope you’re mite/lice problem is gone. I just read last night that DE can be effective against grain mites, which I may be dealing with right now. Also read, and after testing for one night it seemed to work, rubbing alcohol works to spray inside on furniture etc. We were bringing creepies into the house on hair and clothes after coop cleaning and they have been keeping me up at night with itching. If DE is absolutely worthless, then what is it used for?
