Coop name: The Crappy Coop (I Hated this coop!)
Construction Date: not sure exactly when, but I had to renovate it, lol.
Fun details: We got this for free from our neighbor with the shed attached to it. He only had a few hens that he kept in it but had gotten rid of them. When we got it to our place we used it as it was for a while but it was all wire and a 2"x4" floor with gaps between the boards. When we decided to replace some of the old hens we had adopted I decided it needed to be more "liveable" for them. (they had a really large fenced-in yard)
I replaced most of the walls with recycled fence boards, covered the floor with plywood so it was solid, added branch roosts, cabbage crate nest boxes(from a local farm), a new ramp & pop door and had to put a tarp on the leaky roof... I couldnt fix that, lol. The old & new chickens really seemed to appreciate the "upgrades", I still hated the ugly thing though.
inspecting the new ramp
Shelf roost
I don't know if this counts or not but here's there hobbled together yard roost, sticks & bailing twine
