I would just put it in the back of the throat and let her swallow it. If that doesn’t work, you can try to mix it into 1/2 tsp of yogurt, and syringe it into her beak a little at a time as she swallows it. It will not dissolve in water, so it needs to be put into something creamy or pasty.

I don’t know how much she weighs....she is an adult Easter egg chicken. I’ll try popping it in. ..if she spits at me, I’ll spit it back
I just just checked the bandages I initially used, (she waddled happily over to me) and they were falling off....I rewrapped slightly tighter, but tried not to cut off her circulation.
Later, Should I put her in the coop, free for the night as I have been doing, and let her decide whether to try the perch on her own...or should I keep her in the kennel alone in the run? Will the other chickens pick at her wrappings ?

What are you using for wrapping bandages? Sports Wrap/Vet Wrap/Coban (whatever you want to call it, works really well (for me anyway). It stays in place, you can cut it how you need - into thin strips or use wide - depends on how you wrap. You can find it at walmart, tsc, dollar general, etc. (example below).

That would be up to you whether you want to put her in the coop for the night, she may be happier. If her feet will remain clean/dry, then it will be o.k. She can decide if she wants to roost or nestle down in some bedding.

I have not had other chickens pick at wrappings when I used them. You'll have to watch and see how it goes.

I had a little “ camo “ vet/wrap left from last year, so I used it tonight...but I was a little short. I ordered some new tape, it will be here Monday’ .
I meant to take photos of the feet for you. I didn’t. Sorry.
.... but I can’t help myself from rechecking her feet tomorrow, so I’ll post photos for sure.
tonight, where I had cut, looked purplish...maybe bruising? And one of the other bumps hadn’t been cut and squeezed, so we may have to “operate” again tomororow.

Has anyone used Collasate? I help support a local wildlife center, and they keep injured, unreleasable raptors there for educational purposes. After any surgery, they told me they apply collasate.
I Just ordered it on Amazon to have on hand, (I have another boil to incise) , it was relatively inexpensive. ...ok for Pets and humans too, so it won’t be wasted. just curious if it’s any better than the vetimycin we usually use.
just curious. ..I’m always open to better ideas. ‘Not looking forward to hurting my chicken with another round of lancing ...should I wait a couple days and let her get over today’s course, or attack the infection right away. ...? I don’t want to over stress her. Poor thing.

You’ve been so kind,...Just wanted to let you know that I let omelet out of her kennel at 4PM, she walked fairly well, in her high-stepping booty-bandages ....waddled over to the waterer, had a few bites to eat,...( all this was in her kennel too).....her friends went to roost,...and she tried to follow up the ramp but stopped. They came back out of the coop, and went around her a few times then back in...were they encouraging her to follow?
Eventually, she followed her flock to the coop, and jumped right up onto the perch. ‘broke my heart....I knew it hurt, but she’s so strong!!
she was chirping and talking (in pain??) away once she was on the perch, and the other chickens snuggled up to her. I think they knew she wasn’t herself. Can that be?? I thought they would attack a weak bird...but it seemed to be the opposite of that....

I've never used Collisate before, sorry.

Sweet Omelet went to roost. She may be hurting/sore a bit, but they seem to do better when they can be with their flock. When I have a sick/injured bird that roosts with the flock, I go out a little early and take them off the roost so they don't have to jump down.
I do think her friends were encouraging her. If she was chirping, then probably just chic chatter
