Is it possible to tell a hen from a rooster by their tail feathers at 4 weeks old. I have RIR chicks and some have really long pointy tail feathers and some do not. Can I safely identify my roosters from my hens by this? Please help? I need to sell my roosters, as I want all laying hens. Thanks!

Could you put up pictures of them? Maybe I can help you identify. Yes you can tell by looking at the tail feathers which gender they are but usually not till they are older than 4 weeks.
