"What do you mean, Lilith?"
"You destroyed our home..."
"I risked my racdropped LIFE for you!" I crowed.
"Where are we gonna GO for the night, now that our home is burned? We've got nowhere to go now!"
"We'll nest in a tree!" I said. "Don't be so stupid!"
"I'm not the one being so... so... COYOTE--BRAINED! You annoying piece of FOX SCAT!" Lilith yelled.
She ran off, crying slowly, she climbed onto the shed of the human, then I saw her no more.
"Hehehehe!" I heard a laugh. "Now that that stupid little hen is gone... I've got time to take you to what I was waiting for. Danny's gonna love another rooster fight..." He picked me up by the neck and threw me in a cage.
"Lilith!" I cried.
"Shut up!" He yelled, and slammed on the front of the cage.
My throat burned, My head ached, and my heart was broken.
I knew that once I got to where the human was taking me, I would die, and I wouldn't see Lilith ever again.
Just that thought brought tears to my eyes.
The engine stopped, and the human slammed the cage upwards. I sighed. Lilith... Lilith... Lilith...
Her name rung in my ears. I closed my eyes, and whispered a silent prayer. I'm sorry...
I knew that wherever she was, she wouldn't hear me, but I asked the Lord to use the wind to carry my voice to her.
And I could just swear, through the tears running down my face, and the blood pounding in my ears, I could hear Lilith's voice... I'll forgive you no matter whatever happens...
