here's some pics of some of my roosters.all but 1-2 silkie's.
sky my white silkie roo.he's my favorite out of all my roo's.he's looking a bit ruffled and dirty because he was really sick and all he did was lay down in the coop on the floor all the time in the poo and dirt.he's getting a bath ina few days when we get some more sun.he needs to get clean and be all pretty again.i love my silkie!
sultan.he's actually my step-grandparents rooster that they got at a chicken show in columbus.i dont know for sure were hes at in the pecking order but when he wants to fight he fights hard.i like him very much.i plan on showing him this fall at the county fair.hes gorgeous when he has all his tail.
gidgit.this little guy is a monster.when he was still a chick.around 5 weeks old he would attack my hand.he doesn't do it anymore bc i showed this little ankle biter who's boss.haha.he's at the top of the pecking order and doesnt take any crap from nobody.!hes gorgeous!.when he has a tail hes beautiful also.
sheldon.my sebright roo.he's at the bottom of the roo pecking order.i think that if he tried to fight he could win some and work he way up but he doesn't.he's got some mean looking little spurs that could do some damage.he's tried comming after me but only a few times.i chased him off and now he only bluffs.he acts like he's going to attack but never does.
doodle.he's one of the prettiest roo's i got.he's also my step-grandparents roo.i picked him out at the chicken show in columbus but they payed for him.he is very good with the girls.hes i think he's 3rd from the bottom in the pecking order.i like his color alot.dont think im going to show him though.
tucker.he's a chick that we hatched from our own eggs here.as you can see he's a mutt.he's very skiddish around me.which is how it should be!he helps out gidgit when he see's another roo mating with a hen he helps gidgit chase him off.and in return i think gidgit lets tucker stay around him.gidgit wont let tucker mate but won't chase him if hes close to him.very pretty roo up close but like i said he's very skiddish and this is the only picture i could get away with.
dale.my only standard.he's penned up for various reasons.over mating,fighting,ect.ect.hes i think and silkieXeaster egger mix but im not sure.he's a gorgeous roo and it soo soo soo scared of me.sky beat him up today when i let him out of the pen for a little while.im thinkin' in going to be gettin' rid of him soon.need more room and theres only one chicken in the big pen hes in and i got chicks comming and im going to an exotic animal and bird sale at the end of march.so he's gotta be leaving pretty soon.
