Taking away chicks from its mother?

Has anyone ever taken its chicks away from its broody mother? What does the mother do?

She does fine. I have done this with the wild games that hatch off babies. They go on like a regular chicken.

Though you might feel bad, don't. She'll forget that she had them and continue on like she was before, and the chicks will be fine. Just be sure you keep them warm with food and water.
